You will download the software to your computer. I will supply you with the username and password that is required to launch the demo trading platform via email. You will receive the demo download info a few days prior to your scheduled start date.
The demo trading platform will blow you away!
I have never before used a platform that actually has real-time chart and level II quoting combined with virtual fast-key live-trading. Basically, this demo software is exactly the same as if the money were real. This is the reason why I like using it for training. It makes the transition to LIVE trading much easier.
On the first day (Monday: during market hours, 10am-3pm) of the program you will receive a phone call from me (Day Trader Josh). My main objective in our first phone conference is to show (in real-time) how to execute trades using fast-keys. More then 50% of my trading methodology depends on the “mechanics” of intra-day trading. Learning how to properly execute trades using fast-keys can be difficult.
Also, during the first week of training you will be shown how to find at least ten good stocks, by using my stock selection criterion system. And, you will begin demo trading these select stocks exactly according to my system. The stocks you find during the first week of demo trading should remain on your stock watch list for the entire duration of the program (including when you go live). It’s important that you stick with them and really get to know them. Consistency is the main focus of this training program.
During the first week is when I will initially introduce you to my 100-share block trading strategy. You will learn how to place quick round-trip trades by technical chart reading (intra-day resistance and support levels).
Once the first week of introductions and training is completed, we will then have our second phone conference. I will be speaking with you on every Friday or Monday (after the close of the market). We have a lot to discuss.
I need to gauge if you’re grasping the mechanics of Fast-Key ordering. And, this is when you should (but don’t have to) begin your registration and application process for a pay-per-share firm. You need to have your account set-up so that you can go live during the final week of the 20-day program. It usually takes a couple weeks to get all the paper work completed and your account funded. The sooner you get the registration process going the better.
[NOTE: You DO NOT have to go LIVE during the final week of program. You don’t have to go LIVE after the program ends either. Once you fund your LIVE trading account you have the option of continuing to demo trade after program ends]
When Week Two starts you should be well primed to successfully engage in your first full week of demo trading.
From this point on you need to focus on consistency. Your days will always begin at the same time and end at the same time. Your intra-day routines should be highly regimented. You should be placing roughly the same amount of trades each day (for each level of stock).
During Week Two (first FULL WEEK of demo trading) you will be limited to trading only level 1&2 stocks (depends on how well you progressed with Fast-Key). You will gradually make your way up to Level 3 stocks in Week Three (second FULL WEEK of demo trading).
Again, on each Friday or Monday (after market closes) you will be speaking to me so we can gauge your performance. By the end of Week Two we should also have your registration process with a pay-per-share firm in full swing.
When Week Three begins you should be ready to demo trade a Level 3 stock.
By the end of Week Three you should have your LIVE pay-per-share account setup. I plan to have you go LIVE on the following Monday (Week Four- FIRST FULL WEEK OF LIVE TRADING).
[NOTE: it’s up to you if you want to go live or not during the final week of training. You can demo trade during the final week of training if your not set-up for pay-per-share due to delays and/or lack of confidence. If you choose NOT to go live, then you can continue demo trading.]
Week Four, the FIRST FULL WEEK OF LIVE TRADING (or not): Again, you have the option of trading LIVE or continuing to demo trade.
